About Audonia
Why Audonia
Audonia generates chord progressions that are real musical phrases, with good voice leading and common-practice functional harmony. Every progression has a proper cadence, the voices don't cross, and we avoid parallel fifths and octaves, etc.
I built Audonia after taking Ear Training at the Juilliard Extension. I couldn't find an app for practicing harmonic dictations with the kind of voice leading we used in class, so I built one. With over ten years as a software engineer, the build was within reach.
